Three Things
There are three things that I want to tell you.
One is that I’ll never grow up,
no matter that you ask me to.
Two is that I love you,
even if I don’t show it.
Three is that I can’t be true,
it’s just not in my nature.

and you can make out the lace
of her slip under her skirt
she brings a plate of french toast
shows off her great big smile
and ask, “Is everything good?”
what more could a guy ask for?

The cool kids drink Bellinis
sitting on the patio.
It was a long night, and now,
when there is no more music
they do not know what to say.
So they just sit and pretend
to enjoy the scenery.

my canteen’s dry
and my throat is sore
in the bone dry desert
there is no relief

to help people everyday
to be filthy rich
and play with wonderful toys

and the birds chatter
we all get ready
