Stings

mud sucks the
honey bee stingers
out of 12 ouchie’s

and Winnie sings
when she fishes
casting without bait

as the sun goes down
the warm light rims the cat tails
frogs jump and the skeeters bite

just another summer day
that slots in my head
a day remembered

it has been a long time

to not be forgotten

long day of longing

but finally home
and after sunset
it is time to break
fast.

some pills to help sleep

Week 20, Day 134 – “Old Times”

Old Times

old times, and the good
white puffy dandelion
seeds blown in the wind

I met jennifer
on merry go rounds
and thought we’d spin forever

open windows, october
the after rain air
and falling red leaves

talking to my love
about futures, greatness planned
old times, and the good
