walkin’ round the city streets
sayin’ hi to whomever I meet
ridin’ the subway
to the end of the line
not goin’ anywhere
just passin’ the time
the city’s life
makin’ me alive
I started writin’ in one
and am now in another
keep goin’, ’til there’s no stops
and no more paths to follow
